Hey Patreons.
I, uh, somehow missed the start of June. How is it June already anyway? Let alone June sixth?
May was a bit hectic, as most months still are around here. Seekers in the Void launched, missed its day one sales goal to much panicking, then made its week one sales goal to some celebration, accompanied by some spectacular reviews.
It's not absolutely certain yet that there will be a Seekers in the Void sequel, but it's definitely looking promising, especially since the people who have read it seem to really love it!
What am I working on?
I finished Regent's Mate, House Adamant 4, on schedule as planned (to some degree of surprise on my part, as I was convinced the book was going to run over on both wordcount and time before it decided to cooperate at the last moment).
Still need to find time to put some hours in Red Dead Redemption or otherwise pick up the weird west space, but I'm about a fifth of the way into Adept's Path, Teer and Kard 4, and it's going well. I'm also plotting out some future things to make Teer's life even more entertaining.
For me. And probably readers. Not so much for him.
Once Adept's Path is finished, I will be jumping on a plane to the United Kingdom to visit family and friends (and a few specific spots, like Nottingham and a university town for Reasons)
June will be a quiet month on the release front. Our next release is in July and I will likely end up releasing the ARC two weeks before release with my travelling. I am hoping to get the Void Spheres hardcovers rolling this month, but we shall see.
I'm going to take the space at the end here to give some recommendations, since I'm not releasing anything this month! I read the entire Livi Talbot series by Skyla Dawn Cameron over the last couple of months and it was absolutely incredible. A badass take on Lara Croft in a fascinating twist of urban fantasy. It's not currently available on Amazon, but you can get the first three books by direct purchase through Payhip here.
And speaking of Kickstarters, Krista D Ball (a fellow Canadian SFF writer) has launched a kickstarter for a hardcover reprint of her Tranquility series military fantasy. I haven't read Krista's fantasy, but I found her space opera enjoyable, so I'm checking it out. Her Kickstarter is here.
Lastly, as I'm sure surprises no one, we are watching Murderbot right now and are truly delighted with what Martha Wells and her team have made of her book (yes, she was only a consultant, but I don't care about the rest of them lol)
Happy reading everyone!
