Here's more about the novel:

A peaceful world in the crosshairs
A rising threat armed by an old foe
A call to arms she can’t ignore…

Admiral Kira Demirci lost the coin toss with her second-in-command and was supposed to be taking a holiday. That meant waiting in the Redward System while Memorial Force’s new carrier Huntress was commissioned and turned over to the mercenary space fleet.

But when a stranger arrives looking to hire Memorial Force to protect her homeworld, Kira finds money, boredom and altruism combining to bring her into action. The majority of her fleet is elsewhere, but she has two heavy warships, including Huntress. More than enough to protect the pacifist system of Samuels from their neighbors.

Those neighbors were armed by Kira’s old foes in the Brisingr System, and she smells the hand of the Equilibrium Institute behind the scheme. A chance to protect the innocent and frustrate two old foes at once is hard to turn down—and even if things go wrong, the rest of her fleet is on their way.

She’s planned for everything. Hasn’t she?

also, in book 1, kira repeatedly says that a class 2 nova drive can cycle from a short jump in 10 seconds, but in books 2 and 3 the minimum cycle time is constantly stated as 60 seconds. I think the right answer is supposed to be 10 seconds, since the fighters are mentioned to only have enough "ammo" to last for 10 seconds of sustained fire, so 60 seconds before nova seems like many fighters would run out of ammo before then, but either way, entire books are referencing the wrong thing, whichever ones ends up being correct.

slightly unrelated question. I've been re-reading the series to refresh my memory before reading Huntress, and I noticed a prevalent discrepancy. Throughout book 2, kira (and everyone else) say that the fighters on the brisingr ship (K79-L) are weltraumpanzer funf fighters, but throughout book 3, they refer to them as vier fighters. which is it, the funf or the vier? not a big deal, but it's mentioned throughout 2 whole books, and idk which one is correct.

Hi Phil. The paperback will be available on release day, May 3rd! -Robin

Any idea when this will also show up in paperback? Just asking as my mom will not touch electronic books but I've gotten her hooked on several series of Glynn's, including this one.

I didn't realize how small the ships were until I actually did the math on them, the ships in the series are mostly described in their overall volume, (ex a 40k cubic freighter) not their length or width, so it's harder to get a mental image of how big or small the ships are. as an example, in book 1, kira mentions that the tier one ships from apollo had 5k cubic nova drives that took 25x their volume, so 125k cubic total. that maths out to, maybe a 100 meter long, 50 meter wide, 25 meter high ship as one example of how the dimensions could be. or to match it to the type 26 frigate, 150 long, 41.666 wide, and 20 high. very small ships once you calculate it, and that's on the high military end of them.

Hi Brad. Not really sure what you're referring to here, but we've taken a guess. Glynn thinks you might be mixing up Huntress with ships from his other settings. Huntress isn't a supercarrier, she's a light carrier the size of a modern frigate. This is actually quite large for a warship in the setting. Castle Federation has ships that are a km or more long. Scattered Stars ships are much smaller, and Nova ships in general are tiny. In the present day, the type 26 frigate (Canadian Surface Combatant) is 150m long. This is information passed on from the team as a whole, so I hope this answers your question! -Robin

CVL-4 “was 110 meters long”?
