The update you've all been waiting for...

After many, many months of work, we are pleased to announce the very long awaited and anticipated update to RPG Sessions has a release date! We appreciate your patience with us as we've worked on this update. To say it has ended up being larger than we had originally anticipated is an understatement.

The update process will begin March 30 at 9am EDT. The main application and the Discord bot will be unavailable for up to 4 hours while we work to migrate data to be compatible with the new system. In an effort to keep the downtime to a minimum, we only plan to migrate the most essential and recent data before bringing the application back online for everyone. This means that you may not have all of your characters and vehicle sheets immediately available when the site comes back online. No need to panic. The data will be made available as the migrations continue over the following several hours. If you are still missing data after 24 hours, please reach out on our Discord Support channel, and we will track down any missing data.

What are these new features, you may be asking? Let's quickly look at the goodness that's coming with this update!

Folders

This new feature will help you sort your characters and vehicles into a nice, tidy folder system. Top level folders will be available to everyone, with nested folder support available to our Adventure Patreon supporters and above. More features will continue after the initial release!

Vehicle Sheets

These sheets have received a complete makeover, and will definitely be worth exploring again! With these new sheets, you'll be able to add all the details needed for your party's ship or an individual transport, including a customizable Vehicle Action section that will allow you to add custom actions while in that vehicle.

Revamped and Unified Character and Adversary Sheets

We've reworked how character sheets work in the system to give you even better control over how the sheets look and feel. Take that rival NPC in your game that keeps coming back and make them into a Nemesis, or that friendly dog your players convinced to follow around with them and make it into a PC sheet for a player to control. You'll also be able to customize setting, sections, and game elements (Genesys sheets with force dice anyone?). We've also included automations for some of the most common "modifiers," like Soak and Encumbrance. 

Game Table Updates

Vehicles are now integrated into the game table! See your vehicles, manage their stats and pull in vehicle actions for common tasks. Select and manage multiple characters on the game table for all of your players, and especially for anyone who collects companions to follow them around sessions after session.

Discord Bot Slash Commands

Discord is moving all bots to slash commands and away from reading message input directly. This update includes support for slash commands across all of our commands. This has allowed us to make us of some of the amazing new features that Discord has been building to power some really great upgrades, such as support for Unmatched Fortune.
