How does your garden grow?

My grandmother has a garden that sprawls and surrounds and contains an entire village. Small houses and repeatedly repainted buildings, little ponds and pools that I remember thinking were pure magic as a kid. That garden has followed and flourished through different houses and decades and it is a testament to the nourishing patience that my nannie exudes.

So when my great aunt asked for a sign for the garden I was only to happy to oblige and I wanted to share this tiny little peek into one of those side projects that sometimes slips by before we've even realized we've done it. I cut the text from vinyl to mask it off and then painted the wood round with a riot of flowers with acrylic. Whenever you think your floral scene doesn't look good just add more blooms. It's one of the rare instances where more is more. Once the painting was done, I peeled off the text (before it's dry, lessons hard won) and then outlined the words so they'd be a little more legible, sealed it off and sent it off to a certain spectacular garden on the east coast.

Patrons, your support is one of the main reasons I can take a little detour from client work and do something like this little project. You are pure magic, like a tiny village in a garden, and I grateful to know you.

Be well friends.
