Harry Potter and the Silent Guardian

That’s a Wrap!

I can’t believe it—it’s done! This journey took a little more than a year, and honestly, it still feels like a miracle that I’ve made it this far. I’m surprised (and incredibly grateful) that this little project managed to find some avid readers.

When I look back at the first few chapters of this book, even I cringe. The early chapters were riddled with way too much AI and unnatural chapter stretching that made some of them almost unreadable. You stuck through all of that—and for that, I can’t thank you enough.

Despite the rough start, I believe I’ve grown a lot while writing this book. I still have so much to learn—like how to bring more characters into the story, not just the main one, and how to make those side characters grow and evolve alongside the plot. That’s something I’ll focus on in the future. There are countless areas for me to improve, but I’m excited to keep learning and getting better.

And now, it’s time to look ahead to the next book. But before that, maybe this isn’t the true end of this fic. I plan to rewrite and refine this story at some point, turning it into something more polished and cohesive—something worthy of being published on Fanfiction.net and AO3. And when I do, I just might continue this story further: the breaking of the Statute of Secrecy, the inevitable war with the Muggle world, and the future of the wizarding world beyond the shadows. There’s still so much left to explore.

Now, back to my next project, and I need your help to decide what to write next!

I’ve got two ideas:

So, which one should I write next? I personally prefer the MCU idea, but since many of you found me through this Harry Potter fic, I’m not sure if you’d prefer me to stay in that world. Or maybe, as I continue to improve, I can try writing both at the same time! No promises there, though—juggling a full-time job with this hobby is tricky. Still, with AI improving so much, maybe I can write, edit, and churn out chapters faster in the future.

To all of you: thank you. Thank you for sticking with me through all the ups and downs without complaints, for encouraging me, and for being patient through the slow updates and messy chapters. I couldn’t have done it without your support.

I’ll need a short break—just one or two weeks—to plan and prepare the next book. Once that’s done, we’ll meet again with a new story.

Until then, take care, and I’ll see you soon.

Cheers,
Your author
