Valeria is a big sister to her older sister and younger siblings and takes the responsibility for their looking after in absence of their parents. She and Stellaraine share what may be seen as a macabre endearment with a world near perpetually of night. For Valeria, exploring places she is told about and testing her abilities to live up to Rema's former prowess.
