Miriam's consciousness remained dormant for years after the loss of her mother and would not surface until Viktoria became aware of Rema's search for her. It would be at this time that Viktoria would give way to Miriam again, leading to not just reacquainting herself with Rema, but years of lost time. However, she was not completely lost; but Viktoria had left diaries recording various events from her life, significant and menial, anything that filled in the blanks. In the midst of this Miriam would become aware of Rema's night spells, dreams she couldn't wake, similar to an instance she had come under, but could not recall the details.
