Terzo was from a peasant family of three children, five dying at birth or not long after. He and his brothers were a boon to his father's efforts to become a freemen, joining the King's army several occasions. Terzo's oldest brother went alongside his father, but was killed his first campaign. As the middle child, he wished further to secure the family, but wished his brother to continue farming the land in safety.

Just a boy of fifteen at the time, he survived much til the age of eighteen, when he met his future wife. His father and several other soldiers banded together as mercenaries, and often times banditry, in times of peace. Going east with them, they came across a town entertained by gypsies. Exotic and alluring, he was instantly taken by their women, two sisters in particular.

It was only after his father was in a drunken fight that nearly cost his life, his opponent being the girl's father, he became more acquainted with them. Breaking with the group to accompany the gypsies back toward his home of Notte, he and Magnolia, the youngest sister grew closer. Their sudden romance and circumstances of gypsies being nomadic led to him asking her hand, even dedicating loot obtained from a small skirmish as dowry.

Given gypsies were generally downcast and marrying one no better, for what he gave, Magnolia gave up the dance and parted with her family. Knowing how to grow and produce wine from their travels and ancestry, Magnolia added to this rare and luxurious addition to the farm. This earned the family favor with the local lord whom they sold to, and mayor of Notte. Terzo continued his pursuit of becoming a knight while he and Magnolia struggled for a time to bear children. After a time, a daughter was born to them, Terzo dismayed at this.

Famine, war and growing habits and addictions tarnished Terzo's dreams. It were not these factors that initiated the decline, just that he had reached his limit. Unable to accept this, his family and lack of a proper legacy brought out abusive and negligent tendencies. More than once were family conflict near costing a life, but Magnolia always saved him.

Even so, there were times it could be forgotten when at their closest. His wife would join him as part of a secondary camp when armies fought inland, and twice Rema joined once old enough. This probably encouraged her wanting to follow after him, a notion he soundly rejected. Most of his time when not called away to some skirmish was spent in a tavern.

Killing his conscious finally was the man's damnation, taking on the darkest of work in mercenary circles. In whatever retaliation against a god, goddess or himself, Rema became a target of vice shown a debtor's wife or tavern maiden.
