he Dennew or those that emerged from the subterra called themselves thus. They claim through their origins begin after their people were trapped in an abyssal storm for an undetermined amount of time. It was long enough for these early engineers to escape beneath their burial grounds to escape abominations within the storm.
Bermen societies defer as they spit into three expedition groups, reduced from tens of thousands to thousands against the perils of the underground and limited resources. Those that emerged from the mines of Delsa would call themselves 'People of the Shroud', those that emerged in the wilds of Eegen called themselves 'Forebearers' and the third have largely remained in the mountains of Rayne, the 'Night Hunters'.
The men of the Bermen take much of the burden upon themselves through gathering fungus, hunting, mining and crafting. Many customs from the subterra carry on and bring them back, aside consuming the flesh of the abyssal (attributed to the Night Hunters). They are proficient with compact weaponry, either serving a dual purpose or two weapons in one, or upgrade into deadlier form.
*This Bermen, a Forebearer, use tonics and elixirs to enhance their capabilities. Some effectively being poisons, they have built a resilience allowing a heightened state of awareness, keeping up with the preternatural monster they faced in the depths and continue to hunt. The patterns they mark themselves with is the blood of a whyte mixed with atherium, creating stronger distortion effect about them that can disorient.
