Yeah there's supposed to be a switchover in the years, I'll need to nail down exactly how I want the year structure to work. I'm going for an AD/BC thing, but the cuneiform here is supposed to be from quite a ways back.

This probably takes place at least a few years after heretic, but if the cuneiform in Father Helstrom's letter is from the eighth century then it cant be more than 300 years old. Certainly old, but I don't think old enough that it wouldn't be readable even to Brother Dolus. Also we were told that the spear that was remade into the Heart of Faith was reclaimed by the church 1,031 years ago meaning that Canus was killed more than 1,031 years ago. This is just an assumption, but wouldn't the era of the calendar begin with the birth or death of Canus? The only reason that I catch little things like this is because I love your books enough to catch it when two little numbers don't match up between a book that you wrote a decade ago vs. now. <3
