Wow, this just really feels like the chapter where this story clicked for me. I'm in it. I've also made a few changes to the end of Chapter 3, so please consider re-reading the end there. I took suggestions from some of you for some of the language in chapters 1-2 as well, so maybe just re-read the whole thing if you have the time XP
This is catch-up month for me, I'm aware I'm behind on polled images and Red Lantern, so there's a lot in the pipeline to come. But LORD, I am FEELING this story right now! Please please please let me know what you're all thinking so far, I need to know I'm not just getting into a groove no one else is feeling. Let me know what you think, good or bad!

You can absolutely tell that you’ve really gotten into the storytelling with the newest chapters. The first two flowed very well and had all the elements to get someone hooked, which is a testament to your skill as a writer, but as a reader, I can definitely feel the difference between them and, for example, the last chapter. Even in the less openly pivotal scenes, it’s easy to see that you’re excited about what you’re writing. While I like everything about this so far, two things stand out to me: first off, Mabel is precious. Second, Isidor and Darcy have the most fantastic chemistry. I could be biased because all signs point towards their interactions being exactly what I like to see, but, on the other hand, I genuinely think you’ve written them incredibly well. I’m very glad I put off reading this update until I could sit down somewhere quiet and let myself read uninterrupted. Definitely worth it!

2023-04-21 01:05:57 +0000 UTCThe best chapter so far. The way that Darcy weaves in and out of the story is so good. I could feel Isidor's frustration and excitement all throughout the door scene. That whole scene was just *chef's kiss. It was awesome to see Isidor be a badass and defend that woman too.
