Designing Boneslav

I don't know if you can tell, but designing this puppy was hellish. Like I've said before, Boneslav and stonekrovns have been in my head since the beginning of the comic. I really wanted to get him right.

1. The final thing! This is how he is now!

2. First thoughts about Boneslav. For the majority of my comicing until now, he's been black with white face in my head. In the end he looked way too much like Eve, so I had to scrap it. You can spy Dousa's mismatched antlers there too, they were Bones' first!

3. More body shots. The first one was the most loyal to my original idea, never bonded with the other ones much.

4. Did tests with how he'd look with the gang. Kasko's old design is there too. At some point Kasko had a black design, and I realized that everyone but Nero and Runi were monochrome.

5. Slowly getting there, I still like the third on top row. The ear scars went to Loudkill.

6. Tuning, tuning. On the right there's Loudkill concepts, below Bones' fullbody design is shaping up. He actually had a darker butt for a few pages, but I went to edit them out.

7. I had trouble deciding if I'd give him visible fangs.

8. Design is otherwise fine, but I had to tweak his 3D model to what it is in the first pic now.
