Thank you! I didn't know that. Now that you mention it, thinking of a synthesizer patch board as a rhizome makes a lot of sense and could work as an effective illustration

It is worth noting that Deleuze has had an impact on instrument designers, one in particular, Peter Blasser is the creator of Ciat Lombard and numerous other projects , Ciat Lombard instruments are designed to be patched rhizomatically. I've never gotten to play with one myself but I keep the idea of the rhizome in my mind when I am creating patches. It is great to have your words so clearly spell out why it is valuable in the creation of the new.
