Big 2026 Announcement Post

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good start to 2026, or at least a good end to 2025. There’s a lot of stuff I need to go over as we head into the new year, however, so let’s get started, shall we?

I'M A BRAND-NEW AUDIO BRAP GUY APPARENTLY

So, this year saw a huuuuuuge uptick in new patrons/fans, all of whom I imagine have come primarily for the audios, and who am I to complain? When I first started them in February of last year, I was throwing stuff at the wall to see what would stick, and I found it very fulfilling to write out a script then have it brought to life with voice acting, sound effects, and all that jazz. Now that I've had way more experience since then, and I've worked with way more VAs who have been very helpful and skilled, I don't see any reason to stop anytime soon. I first started out on sites like AO3 writing original fanfics/stories with OCs and while I still will dip my toes into stories every now and again, as it would be silly not to, I gotta put priorities where they matter. As such, anything personal I make will likely be an audio piece, unless I somehow don't have the money for it, which if this train keeps going the way it does, I think I'll be okay!

Speaking of which...

I MADE OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS HUH???

One of my personal goals for last year that I didn't share publicly because I didn't want to look selfish was that I wanted to become more self-employed, hence making more money on Patreon and through commissions. For a while, I got stuck under the ceiling below the thousand-dollar mark, but since November/December, that's changed and I cannot be more thankful. I don't want to share too many details about my personal life, however as someone who is disabled and can't make ends meet through a normal full-time job (I attempted to work one in 2024 when I first moved out of my parents' house, but ended up having my hours cut), I've had to rely on two part-time jobs while doing commissions/Patreon to keep up. Now that I'm making the money that I am here, I can quit one of my two jobs and put a lot of extra time into doing audio work! That means you'll likely see new shorter audios paired alongside bigger ones that go for over ten-fifteen minutes, which you know you love.

That also means I'm hereby upgrading how I do polls, in that now there will be FIVE choices per poll with three winners included! The third-place winner will likely be around five minutes or less, maybe more if needed, while the other two shall stay longer as intended. Since I pay all of my voice actors for everything, my earnings also partially go towards covering them as well as paying for my bills. I'm not saying this to guilt trip anyone who either can't join or needs to save money of course, everybody's feeling the pinch these days, however I think it's worth being transparent for those who don't know. I hate generative AI and I have no intentions of using it or anything similar to replace voice actors anytime soon, so everything you hear is voiced by a real person. Which includes the short audio prompt rewards for high tier members, that I know a LOT of you have been enjoying, and I am very grateful for! I think offering those in November was one of the best decisions I ever made, and I don't intend to stop them anytime soon, so if you're a $15 tier member, feel free to reach out and ask when you'll be eligible, or feel free to upgrade and share your ideas if you'd like! WILL YOU STILL DO WRITING COMMISSIONS?

Of course I will! I don't see why not, as there are still fans of mine who like my non-audio works and I enjoy writing regular stories on the side. I did mention earlier in this post that I would be scaling back on personal fics, however, I am always happy to write something for people who would like to commission me. This also goes for audio commissions which I'm going to keep as exclusive to $15 tier members, if only because of how much money/work goes into them, though fear not, because all $15 tier members get 18% off all commissions, whether they are story comms or audio comms! Meaning if that's something that tickles your fancy, don't be afraid to reach out if you'd like one.

That being said, however, since my attention is being pulled towards my part-time job as well as audio work, I can't take on as many story commissions as possible, so going forward, I'm cutting down my current slots to five unless an emergency comes up and I need to take more. At the moment, I'm currently working on three story commissions with one of them being more than halfway done, so I'll be accepting two whole story commissions at the moment! And this is where I shall leave things for now. The next poll will be up for paid members this Monday with five-character choices and only three winners, with plenty of other surprises later down on the road. I can't reveal when I'll have them done because then it would stress me out, but I will reveal just a few cuties you can expect as we go further into January, and beyond.
