Unpublishing the Milk Dew Tier/Plans Going Forward
Added 2025-08-02 02:33:41 +0000 UTCWhen I first started my Patreon, I originally made a $2 tier as a means of a small tip for people who wanted to give a little if they couldn’t afford much to spare. This was at a time when I was only writing stories and wasn’t relying on freelancing as much as I am now. So now that I’ve reached a point where I’m making audios more frequently and I want to be able to support myself better, I’ve made the choice to unpublish the $2 tier altogether.
I know that sounds like a strange move since I said that I need money, but now that I’m making bigger projects that require more funds, I think it’s only fair now to charge $5 at the minimum to post all of my audios for those who want to hear them. A lot of work and money goes into editing and paying voice actors and I need as much as I can while being able to set aside enough for the future. I’ve lived in an awful home before and I’m currently planning ahead to maybe move out of the town I’m in now by next year to help get further away. Without going too far into detail, I’m still surrounded by awful abusive people that occasionally talk to me on and off and I want to bridge the gap further if I want to survive. I need to take what I’m doing seriously if I want to better myself not just at something I’m genuinely passionate for (audio editing has been a blessing for me to take on and I can’t express how grateful I am to have what I have now compared to six months ago), but to be better than where I am now. And because of this, I want to restructure what I have for the future while I can.
(Also, logistically speaking, I’ve noticed several people who join at the $2 tier or downgrade there and can’t find my audios anymore, and I’d rather give the $5 tier the minimum for people to join and support me ideally since all of my audio work is funded by Patreon. This isn’t a call out to anyone in particular, I’m just making this important because I know for some it’s been frustrating or they might have just missed my work for days or weeks and I want to help me help you too)
For those who are still in the $2 tier now and want to listen to my audios, I won’t twist your arm at all. If you’d rather keep supporting me at where you are now whether you can’t afford to upgrade to $5 or higher, that’s fine! But for those who are at $2 who want to listen to my audios still, I’d highly recommend upgrading now if you haven’t already. I have plenty of new ideas for the future, including more YCH raffles (I already have plans for a Toriel/Temmie harem audio raffle later this month) and even ongoing miniseries audios in the future. All of that of course depends on the success of the operations now. My onus is on you
