Well, here it is. There will likely be some epilogue chapters after this, but I'm not entirely sure about that. Barring any abrupt changes in my plans for the future, the next serial will start roughly a week after the final epilogue chapter, or after I've finished some of the side story stuff I was planning to do, if I do it. As far as outstanding obligations, I still need to write most of the exclusions doc, which I've been languishing on, in spite of having put in the work on an extensive outline. It'll get done, eventually. There's also a slice-of-life story that I'll publish at some point, it's completely written. I'll host a Q&A on my subreddit once this is done (linked here), and probably write a post mortem (also linked here).

Thanks to everyone for the support over the years. Wednesday marked the four year anniversary of Worth the Candle, and by my calculation, it's been an average of roughly 1100 words per day. At times, those have been grueling, painful, emotional words, but overall, I'm pretty happy.

The next serial is going to be something lighter, kind of a palette cleanser, and not nearly so heavy, being mostly slice-of-life. It follows a group of five dungeon crawlers who become a tight-knit group of friends. The provisional title is This Used to be About Dungeons. And once that's done, it'll be something else. I never expected Worth the Candle to take up so much of my life, and a dozen projects have been piled up, ideas that have been fermenting and waiting to be written.
