Progress Journal, January 2025, #2

Greetings Mythicists! Not a lot has happened since the last Progress Journal, but there's always something going on. Here are some highlights:

Compilation #7 PODification
I've started work on getting Mythic Magazine Compilation #7 ready for POD printing on DRTPG. Much of the prep work is making sure artwork falls within ink limits and that the covers for the various editions are all correctly put together. I'm hoping to have those live next month!

Compilation #8
Speaking of Compilations, the eighth one is taking shape and should be ready for its PDF debut in February some time. I've asked Jorge to put together a cover for it, as usual using elements from all the covers from magazines contained within the compilation. Sometimes it's tough to figure out how to use those elements in a single image. This next cover will be a spoof on the classic AD&D Players Handbook cover.

Micro Mythic & Mythic RPG 2e
Work continues on these two books, which are my most ambitious projects going on right now. Currently, I'm still tooling around with the combat chapter of MRPG2e and the Character Crafter in Micro Mythic. I anticipate both of these coming out this year, although I'm not sure when.

Mythic Magazine #50
Mythic Mag has hit the big five-oh! Commemorating this milestone, this issue features something of a blast from the past: a different version of converting prepared adventures for solo play. At least, it's different from the method in the Mythic GME2e book. This issue also features an article about playing Mythic on the go, outside your home or while you travel.

Brazilian Mythic!
Brazilian publisher RetroPunk is currently crowdfunding a Portuguese language edition of Mythic GME 2e! Among Mythic translations, this joins the Italian edition as well as an upcoming Spanish edition. You can check out the crowdfunding campaign here!
