Huaxia: Floting Islands WIP

Just a quick update on the building wips. Blockouts are now done and it's time to work on thetextures of the rocks and the buildings themselves.
As mentioned in comments in the previous post, there will be versions without the buildings and I'll be working on some rope bridges that you can connect between the empty islands. I'll try to provide as many smaller empty islands as possible so that you can build a chain of them!
I should also mention that the buildings can be used without the lower portion of the islands too!
I'll be testing out the stands soon!

This is the set that REALLY hooked me. Floating stuff is super useful for a number of different games/tables (Pandora planets for 40k/SWL, exotic places & planar travel in D&D, as well as the great floating rocks in the Realm of Light in AoS) and now with the cool Asian style, you can either print bare rocks and add your own stuff, or use the included buildings for a beautiful Lumineth-themed board. So, that's even better. I'm so glad they're not generic style of buildings on top. Really hope we see lots of expansions to this month's stuff (bridges would be super cool, as well as fallen rocks/ buildings, or even a big multi-rock temple). Could not have asked for a better set--keep on making amazing terrain! Rock on!

2021-02-24 20:14:07 +0000 UTCAbsolutely incredible .. sorry you have to deal with all the (mildly) negative posts commenting on the asian theme .. not sure what they thought (Huaxia) was referring to :) Looking forward to experimenting with clear acrylic dowels and other possible means of giving the best "floating" feel.
