Added 2019-08-26 21:54:47 +0000 UTCOne of my early annoyances in sixth grade (or the majority of the standardized education I personally went through) was the inability to self express. This actually happened to me multiple times afterwards with other teachers too. Looking back, I think it was super unnecessary and senseless for a teacher to publicly humiliate a student over their choice of a notebook / planner? Honestly I don't get the difference when they're both full of blank sheets of paper, have a different cover, and satisfy the need to conform with everyone else. I really appreciate being an adult now that I can make my own god damn choices over things as simple as a notebook. Still don't miss being a sixth grader. xD
