It didn't have a title yet, but I remember I had a sudden urge to write this, and I wrote the first few chapters with Inglud's birthday party, Nymira's labor, and Darian's sudden realization that he wants his mother. I was so invested in this world that I couldn't stop writing and developed it up until March of 2023 when I decided to post the first part publicly. I came up with the title shortly before publishing it.
And then you know what happened next.
