Here is your advance reader copy of Book 3 ... mostly done. :)

There are a couple scenes with a lot of content added and one new chapter.

I'm planning one more pass myself, then a final editing pass before release, but no substantive changes or additions, unless I do. I know ... but sometimes I do.

There's actually a lot I wanted to include, but didn't have space for. At 153,000 words, this is the longest book of the series so far, the longest I've written so far under any name, and I'm going to have to reduce the interior font by half-a-point to get the hardcover out through Amazon, since this clocked in at 560 pages, ten more than they'll print a hardcover in.

I'll probably do paper and hardcover editions through Ingram, as well as Amazon, to get better quality and more pages. The dust-jacket versions from there have higher max page counts.

Writing has started on both Warlock 4 and Carew 8 (from my Sutherland name), and there are two releases nearly done:

Goblin Gigs, which is written and being revised before its first edit. You'll start getting preview chapters of that again next month.

Also Have Blaster, Will Travel, another Sutherland title - a sort of space-western in homage to the old serial westerns like Have Gun, Will Travel. This one's been off-and-on in the works for a number of years, and just needs a couple chapters to finish and get it out of the line-up.

Warlock 3 will go to Royal Guard for narration as soon as that last editing pass is done, but narration and Audible review/approval will take a few weeks more.

Here's a question only loosely related: (this is near the end of book 3) “Do you have any idea how difficult it is to changeling a witch?” What did the fae do to Morgan? What does it mean to "changeling" a witch?

JustPlainRon

I really hope one of Morgan's resonants is sarcasm.

JimBo

Has this copy been updated with the tweaks introduced during the two weeks before going live on Amazon?

Silent Monk

Can't wait for the Audiobook

Whoops- hit return hoping to start a new paragraph. Read the whole thing this weekend and enjoyed it. I have one minor quibble (well two) with the spanking in this book. I love the spanking aspect of the story and if anything wish there was more. It’s kinda hot when Mel encourages it, too. At one point I was concerned thinking to myself, “dang, these books have become so successful, I hope the author didn’t shy away from the spanking stuff because it doesn’t appeal to everyone.” -because I thought Cassandra should have gotten a spanking several chapters before she did! LOL But my first minor quibble is that Cassie’s bruises went away at the next ritual ceremony when they were having sex. It would have been better had they gone away magically at some point when she thought of something mean/snarky to say but held her tongue or said something nice instead- thus proving she learned her lesson. Having the ability to give a spanking that keeps the witches bottoms sore until they show that they’ve learned their lesson would be a fantastic way to administer domestic discipline. That’s literally the purpose of the spanking- “I want this to hurt enough and be embarrassing enough and memorable enough that you think about it the next time you’re tempted to do the bad thing again.” So when they’re tempted to do the bad thing again and don’t… zap their sore bottom goes away because they showed the spanking was effective and they learned their lesson, rather than waiting for the next ritual in the grove for their bottom to magically heal. (Just my opinion/suggestion going forward.) My second quibble is more minor- he should have pulled her panties down instead of creating a wedgie. LOL Again thoroughly enjoyed it and hope the feedback is appreciated and not received as criticism. Can’t wait for the next installment!

Mark

New to this and have not read each preview chapter, but pulled the trigger on patreon when I saw the full book 3 was available. First of all, love this series and this installment!

Mark

Just finished the ARC! Thanks for a great first vacation day!

Martin Elzen

Beautiful addition to the series, Daniel! I know I ran across a couple tiny things that should get caught at copyediting or line editing phase, but I didn't mark them down well enough to find them again without rereading. I figure it may already be too late. If not, a pass through a good grammar editor should turn them up (one nonsensical sentence and one subject-verb number disagreement).

DARRELL

Absolutely loved it! Can't wait for book 4!

MattTheGates

If it’s not too late for edits I would suggest a clarification on wether Rachel got lust or control because the way it is written is somewhat confusing.

Joakim Berube

I’m a new fan and cannot wait to dive into book 3. I absolutely love this series. Thank you so much for all the hard work!

Dunckle-D

I really liked some of it too. The additional Liz scene didn’t add much for me. I thought Cassandra pretty well handled her earlier.

Robert Nugent

Same I read the preview chapters and thought thats what she meant. 🤣 🤣

Brian Hodge

Also. I think if you extend the Sam /Cassandra dynamic a la blow job…. I can see Cassandra getting her fill punishing Sam for poor performance?

DavidJohnson 98

You’re right. Long book. But the character development is superb. Writing quality is superb. I am a fast reader (Deathly Hallows in a day) and typically catch edit errors… logic flaws and grammatical/tense issues. ALL three books are written so very well. Thank you. I can imagine you throwing dice…. Character A has option 1.2.3.4 and extending the story. Good job and don’t forget about little people.

DavidJohnson 98

Thanks really enjoyed reading it through. All the new stuff and subtle changes were welcome. Particularly enjoyed the added qualifiers, such as Rachel’s qualifier regarding showing her grandmother the bite marks. Now I suspect it is Noah’s bite marks she wanted to show.

omega_man

Just finished the book man that was great overall a knock over the fence Homer right on pair with the first 2. If you can give updates on the audio version that be great. I usually listen to books while I drive at night and can't wait for the audiobook on this one.. appreciate it too in advance

Brian Hodge

Thanks for the update! Lots of exciting news! Looking forward to getting my Hard cover and Audible version of Warlock Book Three. So looking forward to all the future volumes of Warlock.

JustPlainRon

Great book, I enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next installment. Will we get pictures of Noah, Priscilla and maybe Felicity in her cat girl form?

Controlah

Goodluck mate, I went on the chemo merry-go-round myself last year and agree books are great to escape and take your mind of things.

Speedy

Wonderful stuff! I still can’t believe you took Cassandra, of all the characters from Book 1, and made me feel so much emotion for her. Still can’t decide which of her three moments is my favorite for this book. The confession during the trial, the “That is my Warlock witch, I will gut you”, or the final welcoming ceremony with the ugly crying. Phenomenal job Daniel.

Jason Becker

The new stuff Chapter 47-52 is SOOOO good. The book is so much better for having it in there.

Silent Monk

It's the image.

Michael Fannon

Thanks! Am I the only one who doesn’t see the DL link

Direwolf1618

Thank you!

Atlas Rune

Thanks for the books.

Trevayne

KU has them. Author's pen name is J.A. Sutherland. Series is "Alexis Carew".

Rogallaig

Where do you find the titles from the other pin name "Sutherland"?

Michael Chaney

Thanks Daniel for another epic read. I can wait to read it. I actually got this Friday off so I am going to get some wine and cheesecake and have wonderful relaxing read weekend. Thanks again for starting my week out on a great note.

roninmw

Thank you so much for your work Daniel. It is deeply appreciated, possibly in ways that you might not have imagined. I had surgery earlier in the summer and starting chemotherapy and radiotherapy shortly. The universe you have created is actually a highly therapeutic distraction from my current reality. My prognosis is good enough that I expect to be able to read the entire series, but please don’t dawdle, just in case. 😂. This is not my first rodeo, having survived a different cancer 10 years ago, but you’re now up there with Ready Player One and anything from Laurence Dahners as a source of engaging alternative realities while my own is waiting to settle back down. Really looking forward to the audible version. Again, heartfelt thanks.

Donal O'Donoghue

Carew is Hornblower in space, like the Honor Harrington series.

Speedy

Great job Daniel, looks like it's time to start another reread from Warlock 1.

Speedy

Excited to break into this after work and read the new additions.

Soursteezel

I'm not familiar with your other pen name. Is it your non-spicy stories?

Jeff

There should be a picture of the cover, click that.

JustinAZ

I must be doing something wrong. I don’t see any links or attachments in this post!

Ron Jarrell

I'll be looking for it on Audible. Thanks for the update.

Nick

Thank you

Mark J
