2025-05-20 01:17:25 +0000 UTCInconceivable! While it’s true most athletes with long hair will put their hair up in a bun or a ponytail. The Author is using something called “Poetic License”. It allows for creative license to be taken in order to enhance the impact of the story or picture. I believe the Author is trying to show that Rachel, her hair flying in the wind, is fiercely beautiful on the Spellstick field. If her hair is tied up or back, you lose a lot of her sensuality. The image is really for enticing new readers to the story. To the tune of 25% for existing readers and 75% new readers. Remember, this image is for the third book. Men especially are visually oriented. The goal is to have a picture alluring enough to persuade someone into buying the first book. And you should applaud the Authors efforts. Because the more readers he has, the more likely he is to continue the story! I can tell you’re a purist at heart. You could always render an image yourself and submit it to the Author for consideration.

But this is more like Rachel and is a waste as a back cover.
