Warlock: Book 3 - Preview Chapters

I want y'all to know how much self-restraint it

Comments

So, I remember things I've read in exactly the way you describe Rachel doing. If something is interesting, I remember it, even decades later. And I read really quickly, depending on visual pattern recognition to fill in what my eyes are skimming over. I just had to re-read all three books, because I discovered that I was doing exactly what Noah does when he misses what the girls and Mel and Felicity among others are actually saying, for example the comments that say that Mel and Felicity will be joining the coven - although I knew that from the plot. Thanks for a wonderful set of books, and the enjoyment I got from (re) reading them slower, which led to joining the Patreon. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

New random thought, do you think the Cait Sidhe have access to the souls of the dead (e.g.: those they didn't steal from the unguarded)? And if so, do you think Noah can find a way to bargain, force, or steal Katrina back from the other side?

Nemesis

It definitely seems likely, except i am not really looking forward to the Fae whisking Morgan away on her 18th birthday and leaving Noah in a panic. I hope they are able to prevent her abduction, or quickly recover, which then may lead to a big war with Fae. I also have a theory about the Morrigan which I am bouncing around my head and plan to add a comment on soon in the appropriate chapter

Nemesis

So Morgan is presumably the mortal vessel of “the Morrigan.” Has she been possessed already, or is this some fate that Team Blackwood will save her from? I hope this is the Boss level problem for this story arc.

In the Cait/Felicity deal, where is here and this place? I thought Noah and Morgan were at a park. Did they move to the foster home when concluding the deal making? Further Noah and Sam were surprised to see Morgan was a witch because they met at the cafe and she was unstable due to being within six months of her 18th birthday, right?

Cassandra wouldn't be going to class but she would (probably) still be on campus as part of the coven, so would still have been taking up a spot in the dorm. I assume that's why 4 places would be opened up by expelling the group or giving them a cabin instead.

Thraymn

Here is a story continuity issue I just noticed. In Chapter 3, Noah says that the four places at Willowmere that the Prima is planning to offer to the warlocks are the four places that will be opened up if she expels his coven (Noah, Sam, Cassandra and Rachel). However, Cassandra is finishing up her fourth year. She would not be counted as a student in the next term -- her place is already filled so to speak. Their expulsion only opens up thee places.

So I’m guessing Morgan has both Sidhe and Witch heritage going by what Felicity smelt. With “blood and iron” being the Sidhe side and “oak and cedar” being the Witch side. This could certainly explain the Cait’s interest and his possessive/protective mentions of “his Morgan”.

Speedy

I really hope Morgan joins the coven in this book but I'm guessing that won't happen until book 4.
