Bedroom Blackjack: Free Update

On my last Goohshi stream I mentioned that I'd give a free update for Bedroom Blackjack.  So here it is.  It's kind of a lot.

Progress is...um...progressing.  Very well in fact.  

Now that most game features are done and the core of the game is complete I am adding polish items.  User interface screens, game saves and game management code so that it plays as a game rather than a tech demo.

New Features

• New game modes: Campaign, Date, Casino
• New bedrooms: I have new 3D art for the secret unannounced character
• New outfits: Added new clothing items like bracelets, stockings, etc.
• New user interface: A few screens to change game modes, choose girls, etc.
• Game save: You get a slot to save unlocked girls, locations and your money

Game Modes

There are three game modes that you will switch between in order to unlock girls, bedrooms, outfits, etc. and earn money.

• Campaign (Strip Blackjack): Play and defeat the girls in order without side bets.
• Date (Strip Blackjack): Play a campaign game with any unlocked girl in any unlocked location without side bets.
• Casino: Play an unlocked girl for money in regular blackjack rules with side bets 

In App Transactions

NOOOOOO!

I talked on stream about what to do if you run out of money altogether and can no longer play casino mode.

The obvious choices were

• Force you to create a new game and lose all your progress with  the girls and purchased items from the shop
• Use microtransactions to buy some in-game money

I really didn't like either of those because you get screwed.  And not in the good way :)

Instead I will provide a small $10 winnings from playing Campaign or Date mode.  That way you always have the ability to recover from bankruptcy. 

Public Release - 6 Dec 2020

There will be only 1 x public release EVER.  It will play as a watered down demo so players can get a taste of the game and decide whether or not to buy it.

After that you will only be able to get new builds from Patreon, SubscribeStar and Steam.

This may seem unfair, but this is a small game that I intend to finish by Jan/Feb 2021.
Preparing and promoting public releases takes a lot of time and I need to get back to Monster Girl Tailes. 

The Public Release release will go out on Sunday 6 Dec 2020 in Patreon, SubscribeStar, itch.io and Game Jolt.  

Steam Early Access - 17 Dec 2020

I'm on track for a release on the 17th Dec 2020.  It's gonna be tight and I have had to pull the shop from the first release, but it looks like I'll ship my first game before the end of the year.  

You can expect 2-3 complete characters and bedrooms with more to come.

I intend to launch the game at a price of $9.99 USD because I think that is a fair for the content I am providing. 

The Future

Over the Christmas/Xmas/Hanukkah break I will be polishing new characters, scenes and adding the shop feature so you can unlock sexy outfits, locations, playing decks, etc.

I will also be adding spoken text, voice acting, new animations and some other cool stuff.

The final release will be in Jan/Feb 2021.
