Release Dates

Oh. You're still here. Well here is the long version with important details you will get to vote on in future.
<Deep breath> I had hoped that MGT would be finished by the end of 2018, but here we are and I am not even close.
This is because of a few reasons. The last two months I have been forced to go back to my full time job for a five day week.
Also my estimates of how long artists take to work and how long it takes to hire them were laughably unrealistic.
This is upsetting, but this is my first attempt at making a video game and managing artists while building an online community.
In short, I was destined to make some mistakes.
Learning from those mistakes I have decided to stop forecasting the game's completion until I am certain I can confidently deliver on it.
The Upside
This has been a good learning experience for me. I know how I can do better with managing the project.
- I am back to working four day weeks. Hooray!
- I have a better understanding of how to estimate delivery of art assets.
- I have met some very skilled and knowledgeable people to help me build the game.
- I now know that I can only manage 2 x artists at one time. Managing 3 or more artists at the same time not only cripples my productivity, but I am also unable to give the artists the feedback they need as fast as they would like.
In other words I become the bottleneck and the project suffers :( - I have been directly approached by some online stores and I have contacts who can help me make MGT available on these platforms ASAP.
To Do
Here are the remaining big tasks right now. I will have polls for the order in which I tackle these for Veteran Hunters ($7 patrons).
- Shaders (In Progress): hair, skin & clothing
- Dialogue Animation (In Progress)
- Level Streaming (In Progress)
- Day/Night Skyboxes (Hiring)
- 2D Concept Art: concepts for character clothing
- 3D Female Clothing
- 3D Monster Girl Props: ears, tails, wings, etc,
- Male Character Revamp: new model, textures, clothing, etc. to match female art.
- H Scene Animation: rich animations with several poses and transitions.
- Voice Acting (H scenes only)
- Environment assets: buildings, furniture, etc.
- Prop Assets: swords, items, boats, baskets, buckets, etc.
- Fluid Simulation: particles for semen, milk and pussy juice.
- User Interface: buttons, borders, text, lists, etc.
- Sound FX
- Music
I have reset my expectations and connected with people who might take on this work next year, but no dates are solid yet.
As the current artists close out their work I will bring new artists on to minimise time wastage.
