Hello, from Vegas! - update on my bday week

And boy, is it hot!

I'll be flying back down to Dallas on Wednesday morning to be with my grandma and the rest of my family who is there. The surgery is planned for Thursday and is expected to go well. If all things go as planned, I'll be back home on Friday night, which is also my birthday. I feel pretty good about bringing in 30 with family, then coming home to JD. This makes me super thankful that I didn't actually plan out anything huge like I originally thought I would.

This month has had me pretty worried as family health isn't as great as it usually is. I'm worried about a few people who are very close to my heart and I'm trying not to let it get me down, but I'll be completely honest in the fact that I have cried a lot lately. These aren't small scares that can necessarily be treated with medication and fear of the unknown just blows sometimes, ya know? I'm definitely hoping for the best and trying to stay positive until we get some answers. 

Monday and Tuesday of this week will be very, very low key since I'm trying to keep it simple until I leave to Dallas. However, I have a really fun shoot coming up on Tuesday night with Radiant Inc. Balloons by Jeremy will be building a balloon dress for me and we'll shoot it downtown somewhere on Fremont. Jeremy and I have talked about doing this for a while and as I was planning a shoot for my 30th, I figured this would be the perfect time. The above photo is some of the inspiration for the dress shape. The balloon dress is one he has made before. Pretty rad, huh?!

The renovations over at the office are coming along. It's a slow process since JD is doing a lot of the work himself, but it's going to be so much better once it's all done. I can't remember if I shared all the details here, but we had a water heater leak which led to mold and then we found all kinds of issues, so it's become quite the doozie. I help when I can, but there's not a ton I can do since I'm not too knowledgeable in that field. So I'm doing lots of cooking to try to balance all the work JD is doing. ;)

My main bday celebration will be Saturday (again, if all goes well) instead of Friday since I'll get in so late. The Fitness Marshall crew will be in town for a concert, so we'll go to that then go out for food and karaoke or something easy breezy. I originallly wanted to go out dancing, but haven't been in a mega party mode with all the health concerns and probably won't quite feel up to it then either. 

Anywho, that's what's going on for meow! I wanted to keep you all updated on things since I finally have some time to sit and type. :)
