I didn't get what I expected, maybe, but I did get a lot of what I NEEDED, which is clearly more important. :) Your process was pretty fascinating, and I've seen bits of the approach you took in that video in other places... I'm sorry you didn't get what you expected Chris. The girl with the umbrella was a personal project and I hadn't recorded the process. My own process is messy and not very suitable for a step by step tutorial, also because it takes many hours and my hand/arm/shoulder won't allow me to record that long. I'm thinking about making more portrait related content though, but I'll have to think about how I can do that in a clear and educational way. I'm happy to hear you learned a ton, wishing you all the best. Keep creating!

Hey, I had this issue also. It would not work for the life of me using the downloads from the Patreon app. I had to open Patreon in safari and then click each download individually before it would work. No success with clicking “download all”. Perhaps try this?

Hi, Voula! GFX designer here. CMYK and/or or spot (like Pantone) for print, always. DPI depends on the size of your project and amount of detail. The rule is usually 300 dpi or better. But if you’re doing anything with size, vector is preferable to raster.

Hi Flo, Just wondering if you’ve ever done a tutorial on the best colour profiles or dpi size for printing. Is there a preferred profile depending on the material used for printing? Hi Flo, Just wondering if you've ever done a "fundamentals" tutorial on layers, alpha lock, clipping mask, etc. I'm specifically looking for how these work because I feel that I'm not fully understanding the nuances. For example, I've drawn an outline of a boy sitting on a rock (rock and boy are two different layers) and I can't figure out why when I try to fill in the boy with a colour and the rock with a different colour, it doesn't work. I think I just need to understand the concept of the layers better and you're so good at explaining these kind of things, I thought maybe you might have a tutorial on this. Thanks!

I'm sorry you are experiencing issues Lianne, I'll do my best to explain it as clearly as possible. Attachments at Patreon: Files that are attached to Patreon posts, like color palettes and reference images, can only be downloaded using a browser (like Safari or Chrome), the Patreon app does NOT let you download attachments. Treasure Chest contents: I see you have been receiving my newsletters for quite some time, in the newsletter you can follow the link to the download page. You can then either re-download the full brush pack, or go to the brush list with individual brushes. You probably need to clear your browser cache to be able to see new content. Brushes through Patreon: You can find all the brushes that are available for Patrons through this post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/44839717 Treasure chest brushes are also added to the DropBox folder (just let me know whenever a brush is missing) Good luck!

I have been following you for some time and initially I had no problems but in the last few months I have had nothing but problems which is disappointing because drawing with you is my zen time each week. Hi Flo! I love your YouTube tutorials and recently joined your Patreon. I’m so excited to get started, but I’m having trouble getting content to load. I got the brush packs to load by eventually creating a Dropbox account, but now I can’t get any of the files under your tutorials to download (color swatches, etcetera). They just spin and spin and eventually an ‘error 403’ pops up saying I don’t have permission to access. What am I doing wrong? I know you’re a busy lady but if you have the time to help me out I’d greatly appreciate it!

Hi Sakinah! I always share a working file with my tutorials, the sketch is always on a separate layer. So you could copy that to your own canvas if you feel uncomfortable sketching. (I would really advise to practice sketching too though ;))

I'm sorry to hear about your eye sight issue. As for the brushes, I just can't make the same quality brushes for Photoshop as for Procreate. Perhaps if they work on their brush engine and brush creation system in the future, I can make brushes for both Procreate and Photoshop again. It also turned out that about 95% of my patrons use Procreate, that's why I decided to shift the focus towards Procreate at the beginning of this year. Thank you, I'll go with them. It's more of an eye sight issue, Flo, which is why I work on a Hi-res 28" monitor with a Hi-end graphics tower. I know that I'm going to be lusting after new brushes as they become available, makes me sad that I won't be able to access them but we'll see what happens. Love your work and Tutorials which is the main reason why I re-subscribed to PS after quitting it in favour of another software which I found wanting. BTW : I found a tutorial of yours on setting up my Intuos Pro 2020 (medium) tablet but have been unable to find it again. Could you please post a link to that.

As far as brushes go, yes, but the video tutorials and the techniques I show apply to Photoshop and any other art program as well. The most important brush sets, the Basic Flo brush set and Illustration brush set are available for Photoshop as well 👍🏼

Thank you, Flo. I only work on a Win 10 desktop so I guess Procreate is not an option for me as I really don't want to work on a small screen. Does this mean that future brushes will be unavailable to me and that my subscription is obsolete before I even start ?

Hi David! In the past I have shared a lot of Photoshop brushes, but starting 2020 I only develop Procreate brushes (with some exceptions, like the animal brush pack). Photoshop is great, I have worked with it for about 12 years, but Procreate is definitaly more beginner friendly. If you have an iPad, I'd consider trying it.
