P&Pm Part II // Full Set
Added 2023-03-09 04:34:23 +0000 UTCIn my last post here, I shared some captures from my puppet shoot with Sarah and Natalie. We set up her bedroom as some sort of stage, with curtains behind her and a single chair. Everything was spontaneous and unplanned. I had an idea and instead of overthinking it, we just got together and let it go. My favorite part was how the outfits/looks pieced together between all the things we brought to share. The dance was also fully improvisational and I'm excited to make the video.
The concept is dark, but so am I and in a way, so is Maui. The concept is also very nostalgic. Fun fact, my family was in the circus. My grandparents did trampoline and trapeze for Barnum & Bailey and my dad grew up clowning. My grandmother and father also painted a lot of circus style portraits. I grew up with the whole circus vibe around me. We hardly captured what I envisioned for this shoot, but it's all so worth trying for the sake of creating and connecting with people here in art.
