Today I finally started to tattoo the peacock arm design I made earlier this year!
It's 4 hours of tattooing so far + preparation (adjusting the size and placements, add details and fillers by hand, but also forgetting to take photos, yay!)
All photos are completely fresh and unedited, so please ignore the trash bin :D
In most first sessions, I start with very thin and rough lines only, so I can add details and bold lines in the following sessions area by area, depending on where I want to put shadows and lights. Oh and thin lines heal a little quicker, which is usually nice for the client, especially on such a large piece π
In this case, it was pretty clear from the beginning where I want thin or thick lines, so I did them from the beginning on. It will make the shading process a little faster because I don't have to go over them a second time.
The only parts that are tattooed with thin lines (small needle size + diluted ink) are some of the large feathers in the background and near wrist. I think I will not use any pure black on them, but don't want to make this decision before everything else is finished.
What do you think? Do you want to see more of this kind of posts? Are my comments on this interesting to read?
I don't think that I'd have something to tell on every new photo. But I have a lot of them show them exclusively on Patreon, if you like them!
