About animation, audio and music

A lot of people ask us about adding animation to our game. Unfortunately, quality animation is incredibly complicated and we think it's better to have good static images than ugly, robotic and unnatural animation, so we're not planning to add animation in the game.

Now, about the audio. We've decided to add audio cues for some interface elements, for some events (a doorbell or a phone call, for example) and so forth. We're not sure about the music. On one hand, adding music into the game is very easy from a technical point. And there's plenty of free music online. But the problem is, everyone's tastes are different and most people would probably prefer to turn on their own music anyway. We'll think about it.

We also decided to add ambient sounds. City sounds on the street, including night time, nature sounds in the park, the sound of running water in the shower, etc. We're not going to add any moans in sexy scenes, though, that's too much. You'll be able to adjust the audio or turn it off completely if you want to. We're planning to add it in one of the next versions of the game.

Oh, and we're aiming at mid March for 0.1 release. You'll be able to try the first version of the game very soon.

If you had the money and were interested in creating animations, I'd suggest you take a look at Spine3D.

Can't wait to try! Old Glamour version was very interesting and involving, I bet this gonna be even better! Go DS!

About the music most games has the option to turn on or off , you should pick what you like then let player decide if he likes it

When it comes to the music: don't over think it. If someone doesn't like it they could easily mute it. A game with bad music is better off than a game with no music imo. Just get simple lite tunes that sound okay on a loop. obviously nothing overly produced or with voices or it would likely get stale quick. You are building this game in unity right? This would be such an easy task for you then. <a href="https://www.bensound.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.bensound.com/</a> or there is stellar music in unity store for less than $50. but i'm sure you guys know all this already.

Icstor is a good example of what the DS team means. The quality of Icstors renders isn't bad at all, and if you render a lot of pictures and string them into an animation, you get what Icstor has: something that with a lot of effort looks good in places, but still has odd static hair, for example, and generally wooden in-and-out or up-and-down movements with static cameras. Icstor often employs two angles, but it still doesn't feel natural despite showing plainly how much effort they put into it. And a development team only has so much time to work with - Icstors RPGs are basically an inane string of fetch quests, since they abandoned game mechanics (and, frankly, story telling) in favor of working on animations. So if DS can put out a better story, better game play, and more scenes with static pictures instead of animations, they should go for it.

Do so that the characters of this story, could meet with the characters from the big brother. Type of action of the game unfolds in the same universe as the big brother

Animation and sound is certainly good but! Important and text transmission dialogue, read something like La La La no one is interested, I hope the text of the new GLAMOUR will not be much different from the original game!? The interface itself is also not unimportant and I wish your team to make this game really everyone's favorite!

I feel like for me to find a scene immersive enough to be erotic, I either need visual (animation or movement in general) and/or audible (moans and/or sound effects) intrigue. So the fact that this will feature neither is a little disappointing. I do think the game will be good but I think either of the two options would take it to the next level.

Agreed that you should reconsider animation decision. Bad animation not a good reason there are games with bad static images as well; if you put in the effort that you do the rest of your game development I believe you could make non robotic animations. If you were a solo creator I might understand not wanting to increase workload, but as a dev team good animation should be a goal; although there are solo creators attempting animations. What's next, how does your team plan show growth? Animation or voice acting or whatever, I think your work is too good to fall behind as the same old-same old stuff.

agreed, please reconsider you decision about animation. Being a developer, I pretty understand, that you might review couple of engines and decided them all crap. No, it should be good engine. Just try to find it, instead of searching for confirmation all crap :). Good animation might move the game to the absolute top, given you have fantastic models and proven fact from BB you can write attractive stories

Sorry but other creators make very good animations, Deepsleep, Icstor, Nenad and other. Static pictures are boring.

I agree with quality images rather than robotic fuck toys. Same with the music, the player could easily just put on a soundtrack that they like.
