Firstly a little modern history. Patreon had to come down on all aspects of certain sexual preferences on it's site as it was probably approached by the banking arm of the credit card companies it uses. They have in the last year, suddenly, become very moralistic about who they provide a service for...unless its for cleaning drug money. Many Fetish/Adult sites have been put under the same cosh and had to remove certain content. Patron acted, like most companies would and set about protecting it's financial sources and told members to clean up their products and gave them a gentle 2-3 day ban as a hint. Most members who where caught up in this adapted their games to suit the new criteria. HOWEVER...it seems Patreon were being cunning as their threats were lip service to placate the card companies as after a suitable cooling off period the vast majority have now reverted their games to the old version and guess what?? no Patreon ban!!!........For the over 0ne thousand loyal patrons of DS and the BB game the knee jerk ending of said game, which they had supplied DS with a minimum of $12,000 over the last year as a little second income (hopefully a second income, as this is no way to have a primary income if it could be switched off in an instant), the decision smacks of being more worried about keeping money, then freedom of speech and art. All previous messages here about BB have mysteriously disappeared...was this because it was said that there was actually far more material for BB well beyond 0.13 and Glamour was just starting .... from the outside the minor ban came at the point that BB was so called 'growing' and three days later 'not much further to be done with only 5 main characters' ....make what you will of the sudden switch to the Glamour (looks like most LoP games) game but for me its me end of patronage here...remember game developers, your Patrons pay you money (wages) therefore they are technically your bosses and you are making a product for them...respect them...don't take the piss by milking them with long gaps between new parts or by getting 'bored' with your own ideas and jumping to the next shiney thing.....good night and happy fapping

I hope that one day you finish it. is what I expect and what many people expect, I know you had no choice but the only thing I want, that you finish this game that thanks to you, I started playing games for adults, this was the first game I started playing with , I only ask you to finish it some day, because in version 0.13 you can continue doing much more things, hopefully do not leave it.

I literally agree with Lemon if you find any other website all you followers will follow you again, the game and the gameplay i don't like at all Glamour its not my style of gameplay at all. Icstor was during fine even before join Patreon's bullshit, Lesson Of Passion have successful work and they don't even have incest themes, which unfortunately are most wanted this days. Usually i am against incest but i played the game. Personally i think you will lost most of the followers if you cancel Big Brother.

that sucks, your game showed a fair bit of promise, DMD also showed a good deal of promise as well. well the political bias that patreon showed in recent past pretty much foretold its demise as a useful platform to independent creators. there is always itch.io and a handful of other platforms, though how well they will weather the storm of outrage i am unsure.

other developers who have been banned created a secondary page so they could still release the games and have the supporters contact them. I understand it not your fault that patreon has started this war on games but in my opinion if you going to end the game in next update you should make it so the player can sex anyone in the series anyway they choose and at least open up all the side missions ie: olivia, her mom, and the barista girl story lines.

It's not really possible. Patreon told me I can't collect money for BB here at all.

There is little to complain from Patron perspective, we get the notice ahead of time and you can cancel your pledge if you feel like it. Do not act like your previous contributions entitle you to what is made in the next cycle. EDIT: I forgot to add that Patreon is annoying for doing this, Big Brother is a great example of the renaissance that Patreon brought up in the last couple of years.

I talk not as a Dev but as a former supporter. Please don't blame Patreon, since they can't FORCE you to leave a game unfinished. You could release it almost anywhere else, even on a website made with the most basic free stuff... You want to start a new project and leave this unfinished? Fine, that's your prerogative, but people who gave you money, even if it was just 1$, deserve the truth.

Patreon won't allow him to receive pledges on a project they deem against there rules, he'd have to actively update his page with the new project to be able to receive pledges and work on BB, he'd be better off moving to makersupport tbh

Most people will remain Patreons if you promise to keep working on the game but not release it on Patreon... Just publish the finished versions on a blog (blogs are free!)... BB is my favourite game of the genre, and there are still so many interactions unexplored - foursome with the family girls, anal sex with mom, the coffee girl, the doctor, etc- that it would be a real shame to stop the game as it is now... I'll resume being a Patreon if you intend to continue working on BB, otherwise I'll wait a few months to see if Glamour is worth my money...

It's sad to see BB get squashed not long after DMD but I do agree that you should find a way to still make BB offsite as there is money to be made and content still to explore. The patch thing could have work with DMD if only Mr.Dots hadn't openly talked about how to install it on his page

I am very upset, for this decision. I've been supporting the game since the first versions, and see that it's going to end unfinished ... I do not know what the new game will be like, and I do not care. To know that at the beginning of the month I was going to have a new version of Big Brother that made me happy ... I dont like when some Mind Police tells us, what we can play and what we cant. Some USA countries have problems with inc*st, so thats why the rest of the World has to suffer as well?? I cant bring myself to support Creators who dont even want to find another way to continue with their work. There are ways to do that and many creators do it. This was purely Dark Silver's decision to abandon BB. Of course, if he somehow resumes development of BB in future, then I will be back.

Nobody is getting back at the owner... I know i'm not. But people supported a game, a idea. If that game is not going to procede, you are not going to pay for something new that may not be of your preference. Even if you like the author.

Check MakerSupport, some of the Patreon Creator who was force off due to the adult creator rules, well it seems that some was able to keep the projects going but when it comes to Fetish, well MakerSupport don't seem to not whine as much as the Patreon Police is doing on here, hell one creator I was following and totally accept the force close his Patreon Page and if you had his or her twitter link to follow was able to follow to the MakerSupport page and that project is still being work on over there now

After thinking about it, I canceled this pledge and all my other patreon pledges. I will not support anything on patreon from now on and move on to other plateforms which I am still investigating. This is NOT fair to Darksilver, this is not fair to all the other content creator and the people responsible are solely patreon. Sad to see BB go, but I didn't like the direction BB was going once Eric was removed or ignored (game became just a grindy visual novel). It feels like to me January was a wasted month for pledges especially for higher tier pledges. I'm not sure I want to pledge for February and/or March especially since it looks like there isn't going to be anything for that month and if there is a Glamour release in February it will probably have very little content in it and that just doesn't seem worth paying higher tiers for it.

Plus I not going to name another Patreon Creator who I am following and had started a new project, now he has another project that Patreon has force off his page due to the domnation and submissions parts of the game as well as what seems to be realty if you walk down the dark side of some places in the world but the creator has said that he found another place to do his work but while the one that is on his Patreon page, is a new project, that creator is spilting the income with the new project and for the other one that was force off the patreon page, so the income that is coming in is paying for the website that now hosting his or her work but yea it is happening everywhere with Patreon and how they are saying some things for adult games are ok but a good part of the others things for adult games are not allowed and you either have to remove it and add it later once the game is off the patreon page, or make a new project but spilt the income with the new project and the other one

Saddly this is happening everywhere with adult creator who are using the Patreon to support the work they are doing, as some of the others that I was following have been hit by the patreon police patrol group, some such of them have remove and even a few that I am supporting on my patreon page, have redone whole parts of the game to comply with Patreon rules but here the fun part, once the game is off the patreon page and it no longer asking for support, then like one creator who I follow, finish up the game and wrote game is done and finish on the patreon page and started to look for new idea for a new game. He went to get a website that supported the same Mega download and upload speed that he already had as part of his patreon page, and just did a file share for the the parts of the game that was removed and to really make it neat, it was a free add on to the game that was consider done and made that part of the game into it own quest or extra sideline story to the game and got around the Patreon Rules of what is allowed on here and what is not, so check into ways that way since some are choosing that way once the game is considered done and finally off the patreon page

Glamour looks great. It's sad that the end of BB was forced but it looks like you're not the first or the last on Patreon. New characters look great and I hope you'll be able to avoid all those things that affected BB later in development. Keep it up

PLEASE put and keep a competitor in the new game, like an Eric character, that keeps you on your toes the whole time. When the constant threat left in BB, the game wasn't as exciting for me anymore. Also, if there is peeping, PLEASE let us see everything rather than just a closed door when we have a billion steath points built up. THANKS! Can't wait! The new girl with her hair pulled back looks almost as hot as Christina from Lucky Mark. ;)

..what..just use another platform for Big Brother, it's not that difficult... i'm speechless the game being stopped just like that, another good game without end... it's not fair for people just to stop the game and start another one, you should first find a solution to continue the first game and then ask us to continue pledging... i'm sure your next game will be good too but that's not the point, i'm tired of playing unfinished game, paying for actually nothing...
