Reminder about Frederica's powers - as long as she has met and knows the name of the person, she can see that person's past AND present, but not the future. So during that large-scale attack, she attempted to locate Kiri in order to help Shin & co., and saw Kiri attacking the Republic (she saw the Gran Mur falling). Then she immediately hopped to Shin to check on him since he wasn't answering any comms. Especially recently, Shin is getting into a habit of losing himself in the battle and basically shutting off his brain so he only focuses on combat and can't hear anything his comrades are attempting to say to him.

His Juggernaut loadout is the standard configuration - everyone else's is altered to suit their individual fighting styles. Anju excels in crowd control, Kurena is a sniper, Raiden is a good support, and Shin of course is close combat. Theo's fighting style, however, is not exactly close combat. He uses a lot of guerrilla tactics, using the Juggernaut's grappling hooks to scale trees and buildings in order to leap around and attack from various places, especially from above since the Legion have weaker armor on top. As such, Theo's at his best in an area with lots high places like towns and cities.
