If I remember, we slowly got Christian becoming more and more jealous the recognition it gave Edge. We even got some good laughs out of Christian always holding the throphy like it was his. You can in turn say the slow burn just made it easier to telegraph, but I feel like they did a good job of teasing wither or not it was going to happen, as Edge would always calm Christians minor outbursts. After it was said and done, Christian got some good heat since E&C were so over with the fans, and it was the start of Edge's successful singles career. Plus it gave us Christians awesome "CHRISTIAN.. CHRISTIAN.. AT LAST... YOUR ON YOUR OOOOWN" theme music😂 It was special to me, since it happened during a short period I wasn't reading wrestling rags so I didnt know when it would happen.
