Idk if someone explained already but 떡국(tteokguk) is a type of soup that is eaten on new years. Directly translated it means ‘rice cake soup.’ It’s traditionary and we believe when we eat it, we gain a year. Fun fact: in Korea, people don’t count age by birthdays, they count it by the start of the new year. So everyone ages up at the same time. Birthdays are just a day to celebrate. ALSO in Korea, when you are born you are already 1 year old. (Yes, that means a baby born on 12/31 would be considered 2 years old on 1/1) That’s why there’s something we call “Korean age.” For example, I’m born 04/01/1998. In America I‘m currently 22. But in Korea I am 23. It’s confusing and crazy but it is what it is LOL. I hope I explained that well enough... 😅

I seen bad korean handwriting before lol. I think it's possible to have bad handwriting in all languages, especially when someone is writing too fast or lazily XD

Tteokguk is one my favourite Korean dish! I will always look for it when I visit Korea although I can easily find the ingredients in the supermarkets in Singapore to cook it or find it at Korean restaurants. But it doesn't taste as good and as authentic as the ones in Korea.

When I read their writings, I have a difficult time reading Namjoon, Yoongi and Hobi's. Namjoon's ok but once he rushes through, it's difficult for me. Hobi's one is very cursive, and I don't know how to explain Yoongi's one but all his characters touch each other and it's right slanted. Haha. Jin and Taehyung have small handwriting. I think Jimin's the neatest, but I like JK's. I think it's the prettiest.

BTS has pretty bad handwriting tbh HAHAHHA. From what I saw so far in their profiles/memos, the ones that are okay is RM, Jungkook and Jimin, I have a hard time reading some of the others. Yoongi if I'm not wrong has very sloppy handwriting, he's always rushing through his writing

😂 Of course it’s possible to have bad handwriting in any language. I speak English, Vietnamese, and Korean. I would say J-Hope’s handwriting is the hardest to read lol. I like Jungkook’s writing the most. RM and Jimin have nice handwriting too. I prefer Korean characters than Japanese and Chinese because I think it’s cuter and less complicated. A B C characters in English/Vietnamese are beautiful as well. Have you seen its calligraphy? It’s soooo elegant and artistic. There’re hundreds of different fonts. I do calligraphy and I love writing it in English the most although it’s not my first language. So yeah, you should be proud of your language too! 😊

As someone who is learning Korean...yes. Sometimes it’s hard for me to read the handwriting. And by sometimes I mean most times. I’m still a beginner after all🤣. There are different ways to write the same letter (like ㄹ) and that’s what trips me up. Also sometimes they are written too close together and I’m like “wtf is that?”. (ㄸlooks like a side ways ㅂ when it’s too close together. It took me too long to realize). I’m thinking about getting a textbook in TTMIK all about Hangul that has a section about reading handwriting. Lol I gotta add that the guys here were doing calligraphy and where writing pretty neatly. It was very legible for me tbh.

Do you know if the music videos on the blu-ray/dvd will be in the original Korean or dubbed in Japanese? Sorry to use this form. I couldn't find the information anywhere else.

jimin has the best handwriting in bts 🥺 and they all have nice handwriting but i have a hard time reading the jhope's handwriting 😅😅

as someone who just started learning recently, i'd say some of the members handwriting are easier to read than others. i like the way rm and jk writes, but trying to read hobi's is pretty difficult, his characters come out kind of rounded most of the times. but i find languages with character writing really beautiful :)

As a Korean American, frankly, all of their hand writing are pretty bad. But love them all. Relatively RM has better hand writing.

I think in one of his introduction videos they say V is actually ambidextrous and has four different signatures. I think there is also footage of him showing it too.

I can't read or understand Hangul, but my daughter does. She says it is possible for someone's handwriting to be what we consider "ugly" and sloppy. I won't name names but, apparently its possible.
