Each solo represents a Greek god. In order, Apollo (Tae), Ares (Jin). Artemis (Jimin), Hephaestus (Yoongi), Poseidon (Jungkook), Zeus (Hoseok), and Dionysus (Namjoon), in order.

If you look at the analysis of this performance--Xceleste is a good one--these guys are created as actual gods in this performance. It was so effective on me I actually had a serious think about whether I had joined a fanbase or an actual cult... not kidding at all...

For example I imagine that you didn't notice that the lights coming down from the top represented a constellation of 7 stars representing themselves 7 very specific gods from a symbolic point of view which brings us back among others to the number 7 of their next album .. etc . Even my cruddy video of JK flying and my other pics bring that incredible feeling back. There are no words to express how incredible BTS concerts are. Amazing and incredible just don't come close. I saw them live this past May and I can't even put into words how amazing it was.... 2 1/2 hours of pure love, passion, and showmanship. I hope you get a chance to see them live.

But there are Armys that said we should feel grateful that they get to preform even. But to me, saying that means that the Grammy’s performance was a way for BTS and Army to just ‘settle’ cos the powers that be says so. The boys’ caliber is beyond that Grammys stage and I think everyone knows it. BTS will upstage all that performance on the Grammys the other day and like you said it will cause an uproar. They deserve better.

I don't say that to be cocky or an obnoxious ARMY, it's just a fact. You can hate them, but you can't deny their talent and magnetism. They're special and stand apart. There is a reason they have the largest and most loyal fandom (again, not cocky, just stating facts). These seven kids coming together under Big Hit makes you believe in fate, I swear it does. Big Hit/BTS/ARMY are symbiotic, unique and a force to truly NOT be messed with, lol. 💜💜💜

And they are scared that there is a more superior form of entertainment... BTS will get their dues.. It is futile to resist...lol I have never liked kpop (and still dont care for much of it) but BTS is in their own genre.... They are above all genres.. I just started to listen to them in April last year while recovering from surgery and I just fell in love with their music..their dancing...their huge hearts..their humble ways...them being all round amazing entertainers...their hard work and persistence to show just how special this group of 7 young men... Ps I am OLD army... I am over 50 and I am unabashedly ARMY!! These men deserve so much good in their lives for what they give back. Being old lol I do worry for their mental and physical health... But I think they are so close knit that they will care each other through anything. Wow how wordy can one get. Thank you so much for your reaction and for saying what a lot of people think ... I hope they come to vancouver when they swing by seattle and Portland..they have a gap in their tour..so heres hoping...hope you get to go too. There's a drama that'll be coming out which is related to the storyline, but I think it'll be about the boys when they were younger. However, RM said in an itw back in 2014/2015 that they don't like to limit themselves to a specific genre; they love to challenge themselves and if we have to put a label on them it would be fusion of genres. the ceo bang pd is the same: i've watched a video of him while he was in a vinyl store and he bought albums from different countries (non mainstream) just to discover new things and open his horizon and creativity! I'm sure they all share their discoveries. I'l stop here and as always great reaction :)

2020-01-29 23:43:12 +0000 UTCa great example is how us journalists and radios have ignored them in spite of the numbers/sales. at some point armys became so big and so inventful in their promos of bts that journalists had no choice but to recognise. radio is another issue though because bts don't do payola and we all know that that's the way for radio spins. but we're getting there, slowly but surely. in france, it's slower but map of the soul persona getting gold in december will help. All this to say that armys, bts, bighit are aware of the gatekeeping but armys keep supporting, bts and bighit keep following their love for quality music/content while keeping their integrity.

I'll just add that bts have put the bar so high in matter of performances that watching western or european (i'm french) shows becomes boring really fast :) And I agree with you on all you said! But I'm not worried: their growth has been organic since the beginning, and although there will always be resistants, an occasion will come and the general public will see.
