TOTW Investing

TOTW Investing is an investing method with low risk and long-term profits. This is a great investing method to keep some coins moving, especially if you notice that you have too many coins left over from other trading moves.
The idea is that TOTW cards get supplied for a week and a new set of TOTW cards get released the next week. That keeps the supply limited. EA is also asking for TOTW Cards in multiple SBCs throughout the year, which slowly increases the prices of older TOTW cards. On top of that, these TOTW Cards have a set quick-sell value of around 10,000 coins. That means any purchase around the quick-sell value is almost risk-free. We can quickly sell them and get our coins back whenever we want.
Profits can take a few weeks up to months and I recommend using this as an additional method to spread your coins across different parts of the market.
Club Stocking
The Club Stock Technique is my favourite technique for this investing method. A club stock means buying one of each to store it in your club. You buy every cheap TOTW Card every week and slowly collect all cheap TOTW cards throughout the year.
Following the club stock allows you to trade with other cards while also covering the TOTW cards. Storing them in your club doesn’t block your transfer list and you can continue to list all other trades.
TOTW Cards had weaker movements in the last few years and that’s why we only recommend a club stock ahead of EAFC 24. We will let you know if there is any change.
When to buy TOTW cards
TOTW cards can be purchased any day of the week as long as they are around 10k. However, Friday seems to be the best day to get your hands on TOTW cards. They get supplied from the promo packs and the weekend league. That creates a strong low and even some higher-rated TOTW cards get low.
We recommend buying TOTW cards from current TOTWs only. Previous TOTWs could be slightly more expensive as they are already out of packs and that’s why we aim to do this every week.
Sell time
The downside of this investing method is the long hold time and very late selling time. We had the first signs of a rise around December last year and it's likely that we can expect similar market movements for upcoming years.
Even though there isn’t any specific selling time and the first rise takes place in December, we recommend holding your cards until we see x2 or higher prices. A club stock is not hurting your other trades and we can aim to maximize our profits with longer hold times.
Selling earlier is an option if you need the coins for other trades (Opportunity Cost). We recommend holding in any other case.
Summary
