Common Mistakes 2

Panic Selling

Panic selling is something we see on the market every day and it rarely makes sense to follow the downtrend. As explained in previous guides, if you think a card is going to continue the downtrend then it's smart to sell, however, panic selling shows the example of everyone selling at the same time and oversupplying the market. That makes the cards cheaper than they should be and results in heavier losses.

Avoiding this is tougher than most people think but a simple solution is to check the risk/reward ratio and the supply/demand ratio again. If a card is down 30% in less than 1h for no clear reason then it's most likely panic selling and we can expect a rise after everyone stops selling.

There is also panic selling at specific events throughout the year and we will make sure to get you out of any squad cards before the panic starts.

Opening Packs with Coins

Opening packs with coins is probably one of the most unrewarding things in FIFA. The concept of packs is to make the user lose coins while rewarding him as little as possible, that’s why we stay away from it.

However, it’s a possible option with the newly introduced Preview Packs if the pack is worth more than the cost. In all other cases, it's not worth opening any packs with Coins.

Doing too many SBCs

SBCs are another trap in FIFA. It's very important to understand how SBCs are ruining the club in the long run, it’s another concept to get coins out of your club while rewarding you as little as possible again.

Most SBC cards get outdated relatively soon after release or slowly drop behind the current power curve. On top of that, these coins turn into untradeable Cards without any value except other SBCs. That almost forces you to complete more and more SBCs to recover from a loss.

In general, SBCs are not worth it from a trading perspective. Complete SBC only for fun and not to make a profit.

Squad Building

Changing the squad multiple times can reduce your coin total by more than 30% in a single weekend.

It can be tough during the early stages but it's important to know what squad you want to play with, changing it multiple times is a huge mistake. You lose 5% on each sale due to the EA Tax and it can go even lower if the market already starts to show the first WL sell-off signs.

Having no squad or using as many objective cards as possible can reduce any coin losses. Untradeable cards are also recommended. If you still want to test some cards then I recommend making a clear plan for the squad and avoiding any additional changes.

Summary

These mistakes are more about common issues around FUT and the player base. We don’t want to limit anyone and don’t want to tell you how to have fun in FUT, these are just recommendations if you want to be the best trader or what to have the most coins ever. We are here to help you out and give you the best advice, that’s why we have to warn you about the EA traps.

- Don’t sell into the panic

- Don’t open packs with coins

- SBCs are for fun but not for trading

- Untradeable teams are the best for trading
