Thursday Rewards Flipping

Thursday Rewards Flipping is the idea to make profit from the supply coming on the market through the rewards. Please don’t mix this up with Thursday Flipping, this is a different concept and trading method.
This whole concept is based on the simple idea of Supply and Demand. Personally, learned to love this method around after the first few months of Fifa and it works very good on weeks with many Fut Champ Players!
Early weeks in the game, this can be effective with Gold cards but I recommend switching to Special Cards as the year continues and the supply for Gold Cards just gets too high.
Supply and Demand
As mentioned, Supply and Demand is very key for this method. It is basically buying during the peak supply and sell at the peak demand.
But same as the New Promo Flipping, there’s not a general to rule to follow, I just can give you a common pattern and some personal recommendations.
Usually the peak supply hits 1-2h after the rewards. Its very common to list cards at a too high price with the first listing and then people just go really lower and lower on each other leading to down trending prices because they couldn’t sell the cards earlier. While also everyone on work or school, the demand is also super low! That’s a solid buy time.
After that we slowly see the market going up again as the supply stops and prices get normal again. There are two common peak hours after the rewards.
1-3pm and 7-10pm. Both of these times usually see a price peak as the player base returns to the game and starts buying off the market. 1-3pm is recommended if you expect new content at 6pm which potentially can drop your buys. 7-10pm is the time with the highest peak and ideally the time to sell. The problem with the 7-10pm sell window is the MM, sometimes the rewards are really good and we get a 2nd supply time, theres even a potential 2nd buy window with the MM! That’s why I recommend to sell most around 1-3pm and look for a potential double dip.
But again, this is just a pattern I noticed over the last year, it can be different this year but I don’t expect a big change.
The right cards
Identifying the right cards is tough, probably the toughest part here. I will help you as much as I can on this as it really requires you to watch the market closely!
First of all, we want to focus on cards which are in packs at the current rewards. As said above, this will be mostly TOTW or Promo cards throughout the year! I tried this method with cards that get substituted from the clubs and get low, but it seems like the recovery time for them is just too long and too low to make it profitable.
But there are 2 common cases which can help you identify the right cards to flip!
1st – Too low fodder cards. If you see a Special card going at least around 4-5k lower than all other cards from that rating, it’s a good sign! The only issue with Fodder cards, it can take a while to recover as we really need some in demand SBCs.
2nd – Very hyped or meta cards. If a card is super hyped or meta and he drops bigger %, it’s worth a try in almost every case.
These are the most common and most helpful cases in my opinion!
