New Promo Flipping

What is New Promo Flipping?

New Promo Flipping is the idea to make profit with the new promo cards on the first day of release! It’s a riskier and trickier method, but the profit can be fast and great across the board! I probably end up doing 30m on this method alone throughout the Fut year! 

I will cover the basics here just to give you some input and experience/techniques to learn, but I will aim to cover this method with almost every promo throughout the year!

There are 2 key concepts for this trading to work!

Risk / Reward

As said above, this is kinda a high-risk method due to the fact that nobody can really predict the exact prices a card will settle at, but there are tricks to make it easier! 

The easiest trick is to compare it with other cards around the same price / same stats. That way you can identify if a card is too high or too low priced for the first hours. 

Other very lucky situation would be an extinct card. It’s not always guaranteed but it’s easier to predict! You still need to compare it with other cards to really have an idea about the new pricing point, but it’s easier and you have some time to decide. Most cards have a short buy window of maybe 10min to 1h, but extinct cards can have a buy window as long as 2h! 

The rewards are really spread. I had times when I doubled my coins with this method and times, I just made 5k per card. In general, I was never afraid to take the gamble if I had a clear reasoning behind my move and understood the risk. On top, I can’t remember any New Promo Flip which just failed, think I made profit or break even on every single card I tried or posted in the Discord.

In general, if your predicted price point is too low, its not worth the risk in most cases. 

Supply and Demand

Another thing that really matters here is the supply and demand concept. Sometimes it just happens that a card is super hyped and the demand is too much for the card to stay at the same price. In these cases, you can easily predict the card to go higher! 

As said in the Flipping Guide, another good way to understand the supply and demand is to look at the lowest prices and check how many pages there are. If you see 1 page up to a price point which results in profit and you see multiple selling in a few minutes, it’s a good sign for low supply and high demand -> rising prices! 

This can even happen during the first hours after the release, sometimes cards are that popular that they just rise super fast and settle at a consistent price over the next hours/half day. 

There is also a trader’s hype sadly. This method gained insane hype over the last year and more people tried it out! Usually they just burn the coins and skip it for the next time. You can expect a good week of New Promo Flipping when other people failed the week before and you can expect bad results when every trader is talking about. I will always let you know when I think there’s a risk involved around this. 

Buy and Sell times

Buy and sell times is a tough topic. I know most just search for these clear rules to follow, but this method doesn’t allow much for it. There’s a very common pattern, but there are way more buy and sell times! 

As the market goes low during the night, the same happens with promo cards. During that time, you can see a dip and then look to get some good deals on top of the lows. When EU wakes up again, most of the time you see a rise and prices going up again. Buy times are usually between midnight and 4am, sell times are usually around 8am and 2pm. 

Some also complain about this and that we don’t post them during more EU friendly times, but it’s not possible to post these earlier. We have to wait until people sleep and the market can really relax. It’s also not worth destroying your sleep for some Fifa coins. If you are up, you can take part and if you aren’t then just sleep through, it’s not a big deal! 

This all sounds a bit easier than it is, but it really takes some experience and market understanding. Most people I talk with have bad experience on this method due to Twitter or Instagram Traders, I personally recommend to forget about that and starting learning from the start again.
