What is Thursday Flipping?

Thursday Flipping is the idea to make profit from the Thursday Rewards. Basically, buying cards before Thursday Rewards usually result in profit through the coin injection on Thursday. There’s a whole concept behind it split between two trading methods/concepts which you learned over the past days! 

I will write this as simple as possible, there will be some exceptions throughout the year but we will let you know whenever we think there’s a risk through other posts! 

What’s so special about Thursday?

Thursdays is Rewards Day, that makes it really special! People get packs and coins and due to both giving people some extra coins, we usually see a stronger market uptrend! 

Another thing are the Red Player Picks from Fut Champions. People get free cards and the casual mind always prefers free cards in the squad. This gives an additional coin boost as the casual player aims to sell the previous card and open up more coins for new cards! 

This uptrend can be short and only cover the time between rewards (10am) and the new content (6pm), but it can also continue up into Friday night! These are both potential sell window and I will always post my recommended one for the current week in the daily update.

During both these sell windows, we see people change squads, buying new cards and the overall market going up! There are two key trading concept we use to make coins for this Thursday rise, which are:

Supply and Demand

Understanding which cards have a bigger supply and which cards have a bigger demand is very key for Thursdays, especially for Gold Cards!

The easiest way to get through this is to focus on out of pack Golds and out of pack Special cards. They don’t have a market supply to start with which helps the overall rise a lot. As said in previous guides, you can mix this part with something like Tech Avion/Chemistry Trading and potentially cover two concepts with 1 trade. 

Gold cards in packs really need a higher demand than supply to make it worth. You shouldn’t forget that people also get packs through the rewards. Finding high rated + very meta cards is a good guideline for Gold Thursday Flips! Complementary and Substitute Trading

As mentioned, people also get free Red Player Picks through Fut Champs, this is ideal for Complementary and Substitute Trading!

Ideally, you look for links to the new Red Player Picks as a complementary trade. Check out the Complementary Trading Guide for more details! There’s no other big rule to the complementary part, it’s just using this concept the best we can and apply it on Thursdays!

The Substitute part gets a bit trickier. Its really important to understand that people love using free cards and prefer Red Player Pick over some other cards if its meta or close meta. That can lead to a price decrease on specific cards and positions which could get a lot of supply through the Red Picks. 

As an example, if we have 3x LW in the Red Player Pick Choice coming up for this Thursday, it makes sense to look out for LB as a complementary trade and avoid any LW as they potentially face a downtrend due to the substitutions.
