From what I was able to find out RM and Suga do get paid for their Writing Credits and producing songs. Like Suga He’s a full member of KOMCA (Korea Music Copyright Association) since January 2018 with over 160 credited songs
However, when he creates songs “by SUGA” for other artists or labels, he treats them as commissioned work which is typically meaning a one‑time fee or custom contract, rather than long‑term royalties. In an interview in 2019 he’s been clear: “Actually, that kind of work isn’t much of a benefit to me.” He sees these projects more as boosting his reputation and diversifying his portfolio.
As for RM he is also a full KOMCA member but joined 2 years after Suga since January 2020, RM has 231 song credits as of June 2025. That includes dozens of songs for other artists but Unlike Suga though RM does Receive royalties for these Songs But I do imagine its probably only like between 1-10%.
While most of their Financial stuff is Respectfully Private it is known that at least as of June 2025, RM is estimated to have the highest net worth in BTS at around $50 million as of June 2025 supported by his solo music projects, producing credits, brand deals, art collection, and real estate. Now remember most of this is Assets and not just Money.
Jin and V are reported to be the next richest members around $45 Million while all of the other members are between $40-42 Million. But this is only based on what Financials/Assets are Public Knowledge, they could be richer for all we know as Fans.

If we are talking about writers and BTS is definitely J-Hope rm and suga Jimin even said in the interview with suga that once he did his solo album, he realize he had it easy because that was the first time he really had to write
