An open world with Pure Summer Vibes

Wheel World is an open-world game without the open-world obligations. Hop on a bike, zip through beautiful landscapes, and enjoy a few races at whatever pace you prefer. Speaking of interesting riffs on the cozy game formula, Everdeep Aurora scraps combat. Instead, you dig through everyone's business. Literally.

This week, The Resties discuss these delights, plus explain the NSFW-game delisting dilemma.

Zillennial (27) here so not exactly a young kid and my music taste is pretty eclectic but Phoenix and MGMT are great

The switching to hard is really interesting and usually the opposite strat I take for story-heavy games. And very glad it's clicking with you!! ~Plante

I genuinely don’t know how to interact with you guys on weekly episodes if I listen to you on Apple Podcasts. Hearing you dismantle mafia the Old Country made me second-guess why I’m having such a good time playing it. It sounds like it’s not a game for you guys, which is absolutely understandable, but I’m having a great time with it. Although I did make a change before I ever even launched the game based on a recommendation from Gamerankes’ “before you buy” video. Turn the difficulty all the way to hard; it makes combat actually fun and engaging. Also, playing it on KB&M feels good too. Something else I chose to do after playing for an hour or so was use the throwing knife for stealthy takedowns and turn off “skip drive” settings. You can wander the environment, although there hasn’t been a “you’re free to roam” section I have seen yet; I just leave my guys hanging a lot to go pick up collectibles. Glad to hear you’re prospective; as always, good episode! Also, excellent note on the College Football 26 game and your joy in it, Chris. You might have only been talking to me with that section of the show, but I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on the gameplay. I agree it’s well designed, and football knowledge helps immensely.

Wheel World is the perfect game to play while riding an exercise bike. The races get you moving faster and the music is perfect

Yeah, the Forza comparison is true, though I personally avoid it because I think the incentives are sooooo different. Forza is a game that wants to lock you in forever, chasing endless races and rewards. Wheel World feels like the opposite in many ways. That said, I love both for the specific things they do!

Chris

Can't believe no one has drawn the comparison between Wheel World and Forza Horizon. Also curious to know how far Frush has gotten in the game because it's much bigger than he seems to think.
