2023-09-09 00:41:03 +0000 UTCJody, idk if you plan on ever watching The Clone Wars animated movie and series, but if it helps give you a reason to just know that The Clone Wars came out 3 years after Revenge Of The Sith, long before Disney ever touched Star Wars. You have biting criticism of Dave Filoni, but Filoni was George Lucas understudy and The Clone Wars was his baby and he created it under George Lucas tutelage/watch. He is just about the only thing left at Lucas Film that gives me hope that Star Wars as a whole can be turned around. He definitely isn't to blame for Kathleen Kennedy's meddlesome bullshit. The marketing of Ahsoka as an "Ahsoka show" may have been misleading (this is, up to this point, basically Rebels season 6) but that also isn't something I'm yet willing to blame Filoni for. This show is a slow burn and does require more background knowledge to understand what's going on than it shoukd, but it's objectively a far better show than Boba Fett was and is just as good as The Mandalorian, with the potential to be better. I know Disney has scorched just about any and all remaining good will that George Lucas had built up over decades, but if Kennedy ever does get the broom this and The Mandalorian could be the vehicles that brings the franchise back. Can't let the shitty recent past dictate an absolute future. If DC can get past the Zack Snyder days then Lucas Film can get past the Kathleen Kennedy days. It just needs... a new hope.

I wasn't surprised when Sabine did what she did because she's weak mentally. Anakin popping up at the end was a nice surprise.
