One thing that I forgot

So I got up at 5am to give myself some time to work on the Hereditary remaster. And the bulk of that is watching myself back and trying to figure out where all the moments of censorship occurred. While doing so I noticed that I totally fudged this part^^

What I say in the video is that there's doublespeak happening here - the literal interpretation and that the events of the movie have already been set in motion, while she's been (metaphorically) 'asleep' to the machinations of the cult. That's accurate, but what I forgot to mention (or maybe decided to cut because I was nervous about the video being too long icr) is that this is also quite obvious foreshadowing for her being unable to prevent the hunting/torment/death of Peter (and herself) because at that point she'll be asleep, a prisoner in her own body. This is even more clear given the context of her and Joan discussing her being a perceived/actual threat to her children.

I think there might be a couple of small moments where I need to add some new stuff in here, that being one of them. Hopefully once we're done with Beau is Afraid I can re-release Hereditary/Midsommar/Beau as one huge video and the remastered Hereditary version I'm making now for Patreon can be included there.
