"C'mon, c'mon..." she thought to herself as her fingers rattled desperately across the keyboard. She'd stayed far into the night to finish the report her boss had demanded, but it was nowhere near complete, and she only had a few minutes left...

She'd never done well with time limits. A strict time limit could be a good motivation up to a point, but when you're dying of stress and nervously glancing at the clock constantly, it can also be an impediment.

Case in point...she nearly fell off her chair when the pop-up filled her screen, signaling her ultimate failure. "No...no no nononono," she wailed, and pounded on her desk. It was over. She knew what was about to happen, she'd agreed to the same terms as everybody else and watched it happen to others. Her heart was already pounding, and she couldn't stop hyperventilating.

She did the only thing she could think of in the moment...the only thing that seemed sensible: stripped off her clothes and tossed them in the corner. She'd seen Jeremy gritting his teeth as the tearing fabric of his shirt held together just enough to bind him up painfully, how he'd kicked fruitlessly to try to shake off his bulging pants. She wasn't about to have to deal with that. It was a bizarre feeling to be standing around in her office fully nude, but least she was alone, other than some night watchman plodding around somewhere...

It washed over her all at once, a shuddering ripple that spread across her body as it began to fill out and bulk up, and fur snaked across her skin...her face pushed out into a long, awkward snout, and her ears shifted to the top of her head, becoming pointed. Her groans developed a deeper timbre, losing their feminine pitch and sounding more and more like an animal. The desk creaked as she leaned on it, her thickening nails digging scratches on its surface.

Tomorrow, they'd find her curled up sullenly in the break room, and begin the process of assessing whether she'd be of greater use to the company in this form, invariably ending in a months-long "trial period" which Jeremy had never returned from...
