No amount of conditioner helps, it's gonna be a bit spikey. On the plus side, you don't have to worry about hairspray or gel, it's pretty much always shaped like this. I really don't think it looks that bad.
And yeah, I see you're already accepting the clothes-optional lifestyle. Shirts and bras are just a nightmare, and it all feels weird over fur anyway. You'll probably be a little chilly until more of your fur comes in, but it's been nice outside lately.
