She was really only there to indulge her kid brother...well, that's what she told herself. She liked to think she'd outgrown petting zoos, but too many of the animals elicited an involuntary "aww" from her.
The donkeys were a little less cute, though. Their pen was rather smelly and they wouldn't stop screeching out their ridiculous brays. Her brother had given her a handful of food pellets, and her attitude toward the distasteful beasts must've shone through as she offered it to them - rather than taking the food gently, one of the donkeys bit her firmly, drawing a bit of blood. It was all she could do to avoid swearing in front of all the kids...instead she marched over to the admin tent in a huff. But when she went to complain and show her injury, it was already gone...
That evening, she didn't feel well. She tossed and turned in her bed but was unable to get comfortable. All she could hear were the donkeys' HEE-HAWWs reverberating in her mind...she found herself stepping out into the night air, unsure of what had brought her there. Then she doubled over in sudden discomfort, groaning, watching as her nose pushed forward into a snout...a familiar-looking snout...
