Spell Effect Test

My only doubt is that I still dont know if i should make a bunch of specific spells (like grab the SRD spell list and start doing the ones that matter or could use an animation) or just do some generic spell templates like "cone - 10ft - fire" "line - 20ft - cold"
Any ideas?

I'll probably do an AoE template Test and post it here or on twitter just as an idea on how they may look. If I do specific spells, they will have their own AoE zone with a specific animation for that, but you wont have lots of variations, for example for fireball I would do a 20ft circle, but you wont have a 10-15,etc radius of a fire explosion spell

2018-12-08 05:14:59 +0000 UTCAs a DM for a spell-heavy party, I would probably find a lot of use out of the template idea to get a good idea of exactly what areas are affected. Though I would love either option, to be honest!
