Braying in the rain

In spite of her growing horror, somewhere deep down, she knew she deserved this. The way she'd treated her friends, colleagues, lovers...she'd always been an ass. Most scoffed at transformations like hers, denying that karmic justice existed, saying such events were unfortunate but more-or-less random...she knew better. She knew this was comeuppance, even as she begged the universe for mercy.
With each cry of frustration, her snout pushed out further, permanent evidence before her eyes of what she was becoming. Her pants gave way, shredding as her thighs bulged out, becoming more appropriate to a donkey's build. Her tail thrashed above her, whipping in a wild circle. And her stomach budded with new growths...
Now giving up all semblance of speech, she brayed with abandon, driving her change forward, almost willing it to complete and leave her in peace, in whatever shape she would be left with...
