[Bonus Tutorial] Install ComfyUI + AnimateDiff + Custom Workflows

Install ComfyUI

1. Download ComfyUI:

https://github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI/releases/download/latest/ComfyUI_windows_portable_nvidia_cu121_or_cpu.7z

Right click this link and “Save link as” and choose a folder where you want to install ComfyUI.

1. Use WinRAR to extract the content: Right click > Extract here. This folder now contains your ComfyUI directory.
2. Download the ComfyUI Manager: https://civitai.com/models/71980/comfyui-manager
3. Save the file in your ComfyUI directory and use WinRar to extract it.
4. Run the “install-manager-for-portaple-version” to install it.
5. If you have an nvidia GPU click “run_nvidia_GPU” otherwise you can also run ComfyUI on your CPU using “run_CPU”, but this will be VERY slow.

Install AnimateDiff

1. Start Comfy UI and open the ComfyUI Manager. Click “Install Custom Nodes”.
2. Search for “animatediff” in the search bar and click “Install” on the version by Kosinkadink.
3. Download the Motion Models for AnimateDiff: https://huggingface.co/guoyww/animatediff/tree/main and place them in the folder:

ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\custom_nodes\ComfyUI-AnimateDiff-Evolved\models

4. Download the all the Motion Loras from the same folder (https://huggingface.co/guoyww/animatediff/tree/main) and place them under:

ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\custom_nodes\ComfyUI-AnimateDiff-Evolved\motion_lora

5. Download the VAE file https://huggingface.co/stabilityai/sd-vae-ft-mse-original/tree/main “vae-ft-mse-840000-ema-pruned.safetensors” and put it here:

ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\models\vae

6. Choose a Stable Diffusion model you want to use and put it under:

ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\models\checkpoints

You can find models on CivitAI. I am using the dreamshaper model.

7. Restart ComfyUI by closing the web interface and the terminal.

Using my Workflows

1. Launch ComfyUI
2. Download my workflows:

👉 Workflow for Short videos

👉 Workflow for longer videos + Prompt travel 

(You can create a new “workflow” folder in your ComfyUI directory)

3. Drag and drop them into the ComfyUI web interface.

4. To install the missing nodes open the manager and choose “Install Missing Custom Nodes”

5. Congratulations! You are ready to start generating! 🎉
